This barite flotation processing means to obtain the mixed concentrate of barite-fluorite firstly by flotation, and then add the inhibitor to suppress barite and float the fluorite. This barite flotation processing can simultaneously recover the barite concentrate and fluorite concentrate with the high grade.

The effect of pH on the flotation recovery of barite and calcite using SDS and NaOL as collectors was studied by micro-flotation tests, as shown in Fig. 3. It could be seen from Fig. 3 that the flotation recovery of barite with SDS increased in the pH range from 8.0 to 10.0, and at an optimum pH of approximately

For the flotation of fluorite-barite ores, proper dosage of H1101 can result in high-grade fluorite concentrate (grade>98%,. recovery>80% )which is difficult for the conventional reagent (Na2CO3 +Na2SiO3) to achieve.
Barite Flotation. The purpose of the barite flotation circuit will be to recover a barite concentrate. The pyrite flotation tailings report to two conditioning tanks in series, where lime, sodium silicate, promotor, and frother are added. …
barite /ˈbɛəraɪt/. 1.N a colourless or white mineral consisting of barium sulphate in orthorhombic crystalline form, occurring in sedimentary rocks and with sulphide ores: a source of barium. Formula: BaSO4 (Also called barytes, heavy …
The commonly used barite flotation methods include positive flotation and reverse flotation. The purpose of the latter is to remove alkali metal sulfides. The flotation machine is widely used for barite flotation. Magnetic separation for barite ore. Barite ore is often associated with siderite, pyrite and other magnetic iron oxide minerals.
rougher flotation concentrate to improve the final grade of barite contained in the concentrate. For this test work the Fatty Acid #2 was used as the collector since it gave much k.igher recoveries in the rougher flotation, which if they could be . …

flotation) whereas oleic acid was used for direct flotation of barite. Effect of collector concentration on flotation was studied and the results were discussed. Barite concentrate assaying 96% BaSO4 with less than 1% SiO2 could be obtained by single stage flotation using cationic collectors. Zeta-potential
Beneficiation tests stated that brightness index of barite could be increased from 68.05% to 90.12% by wet HGMS followed by HCL bleaching. Keywords: barite, magnetic methods, bleaching, whiteness, concentrate Introduction Beneficiation of barite ore by physical methods (gravity or flotation) is capable of producing high quali-
In barite flotation, the addition of metal cations can expand the pH range of mineral flotation and play an activating or inhibiting role. Aluminum sulfate is an effective inhibitor of barite. When the pH of the slurry is 4.5~7.5, aluminum sulfate has a strong inhibitory effect on barite, while fluorite can still maintain good floatability.
The grade and recovery profile of barite concentrate shown in Fig. 5 clearly shows that the barite concentrate assaying around 96 % of BaSO 4 can be achieved with an average recovery of 72 %. It is also evident that the barite concentrate obtained by laboratory size flotation column can be reproducable on commercial size flotation column.
The production of the barite concentrate for the oil industry (drilling grade) is certified with the API 13 A standard. The production capacity of the new flotation plant is a total of 350 000 – 400 000 tons of final concentrates per year separated as follows: 120 000 – 150 000 tons of barite concentrate (both chemical and drilling grade ...
Micro-flotation results revealed that OBHA exhibited superior collecting ability to bastnaesite but did not float calcite and barite. A bastnaesite concentrate with around 68.59% REO grade and about 89.56% recovery can be obtained from the bastnaesite and calcite mixed mineral, for bastnaesite-barite mixed system, nearly 89.53% bastnaesite was ...
This combined process of relatively coarse primary grinding followed by regrinding and cleaning in flotation column resulted in final concentrate of …
Using froth flotation, barite samples with concentration of over 95% BaSO 4 have been obtained from different sources: tailings [4], from complex iron ore in Bulgaria [5] 96.32% and 91.26% respectively, from low grade barite ore from Myanmar [6] up to 88 % BaSO 4 from low grade barite in India [7]. Flotation of barite using

In this study, potassium hydroxide leaching as pretreatment before cyanide leaching of a flotation concentrate of an antimonial refractory gold-silver ore was investigated. The ore assaying 1157 g/t Ag and 3.96 g/t Au was found to be composed of predominantly quartz, barite, kaolinite, clay, mica/chlorite, and dolomite/ankerite.
The flotation results show that a barite concentrate assaying 98.21% BaSO 4 can be obtained with the recovery of 80.71%. The agent used in the flotation is water glass as depressant at 500 g/t, sodium oleate as collector at 700 g/t. In the closed circuit, one rougher, three cleanings and one scavenging operations were employed.
The factors affecting the quality of the flotation concentrate were analyzed. The methods of chemical purification and whitening of barite were discussed. It is pointed out that the preparation of barite with high purity and whiteness and the increase of product added value will be one of the important ways to realize the efficient utilization of resources.
